We took the unnamed disc golf basket up to Alta this weekend. The Croin and I had to get our passes to the Bird anyways, so we brought the thing up with us. We found a pretty spot, but Damn the plants are thick! It was almost waist deep, so that made finding a disc a challange. I love how in this photo TheOrris is unknowingly stricking a pose as Croin and Deckle chill with their beers.

Nice view down LCC, utah. I guess there are fires in California, so that's why it's so hazy. The Croin and I bought our season passes today, and I cannot wait. We each got a free nights stay at the cliff, summer tram rides, and two passes for all day zip-line and alpine slide with our season passes. And they have a new high speed quad all the way to the top of Chip's Run. Awesome. Awesome.

The wildflowers are awesome up at Alta right now. Too bad the resort doesn't allow snowboarding; I have mixed feelings about the place. It's georgous, but the mentality of the resort and locals is lame.

So, last weekend my girlfriend, her friend from NYC, and I went to Aspen for a friend of theirs wedding. It was very scenic and pretty fun, althoough I never got to break out the disc golf basket! I did get to hop in a lake on the way back to SLC!

So, last night TheOrris and I Took the train downtown to see one of my favorite bands, Built To Spill. They put on an amazing show, as always. If you like loud guitars and effects pedals, you have to see this band's live show! Kick Ass! Who would've guessed some humble, normal people from Boise, Idaho could create such an influential band!

He is an effects pedal god! It's funny that straight up effect pedals are kind of old school now. You need a turn table or a computer of sort to be in the now. I love the old school!

Mr.Franti packed in a huge crowd! This is the closest we could get. He played a lively, happy set and got the whole crowd into it. This was the first of the Twilight Concert Series in downtown SLC, and they actually got some good bands to play this year. I still wish they would get a little edgier and bring in Sonic Youth or the Chemical Brothers or Flaming Lips. How cool would that be? Maybe I should be in charge here!
