So, last weekend, I went to seattle for a conference type thing. It was pretty cool, but it would've been more fun as a holiday thing than a work thing, ya know? A couple of things were wierd about Sea-town; the heart of downtown didn't seem to have that much going on at night. I'm sure there was some good stuff, i guess it wasn't by where we were staying. The second was you couldn't smoke anywhere inside, and if you were outside, you had to be 25 feet from an entrance, but the sidewalk was about 10 feet wide, and the doorways were about 15 feet apart. And i was told it was a $100 ticket for being within 25ft of an entrance. And people think Utah is strict! I cand still buy a full strength beer in my favorite bar, watch some good live music, and have a smoke if i so choose. (although the Utah legislature is trying to decide if they want to ban more stuff or maybe let club owners decide for themselves. hmmm, what do you think Republicans would do?)
