Today was Snowbird's closing day, and that is always sad, but I guess that I am ready for the summer stuff. Solitude is supposed to open their disc golf course on Wednesday!

My first day at Brighton this year. With my employee pass at the Canyons I get a free pass a week at Brighton, plus my Snowbird pass, so I'm looking at three resorts this season on a regular basis. I guess 2008 is the year for snowboarding!

Snowbird is finally open! So far it's just Gadzoom and Mid Gad, but I had a great powder day on Saturday by traversing over to Wilbere, which was completely untracked! Who would've thought I would have an epic powder day on my second day when we really haven't had any storms since October!

The Vegoose Festival was a lot of fun and I recommend it if they do it again next year. Quiet a few people were in costume, the bands kick ass, and it was fun all around.

Daft Punk was arguably the loudest show I've ever seen. I couldn't believe how full of a sound they got from the speakers! Their light show was incredible as well, and it was the perfect end to the Vegoose Festival.

I believe it was called the Temple of Forgiveness, but I might be wrong. It was a very beautiful structure, and it was incredible to watch it slowly burn and fall down. It must've been a lot of work to construct the thing, and now it's all gone. At least the 50,000 of us that attended this week got to appreciate it before and during this moment.

TheOrris and I went camping in between Solitude and Brighton last night, and it was kick ass. The campsites were very forested and nicely spaced, not to mention it was a ten minute walk to the lift at Solitude for disc golfing. Good times.

So, a couple of weekends ago it was the Croin's big 3-0, and I forgot to add the pictures to my blog. We went to Port-o-call on Friday, the spa at Snowbird with Oktoberfest still going on Saturday, and then had our Wilhelm Invitational Disc Golf Compotition at Solitude on Sunday. It was a fun, event-filled weekend!

So, there's only one weekend of lift accessed disc golf fun at the Solitude resort left. TheOrris and i flew through this course today; a record breaking 3 hours! Hopefully swampcrotch can make it up next year; or I'd like to check out the Arizona courses.
